No commentsBy John Simmons
The equipment of table tennis is in general if not very expensive compared to that required in other sports which you should not hesitate to buy the best. Excellent costs of a racket approximately five dollars; a ball, twenty-five hundreds; and a table, fifty to sixty dollars. A honourable store will sell good equipment to you, if you insist on him. If you wish to be really certain, seek the official joint of the association of table tennis of the United States, which is pressed on their equipment by these manufacturers whose products answer the characteristics minimum established by this body.
THE TABLE
The standard table of tennis is of nine feet by five feet, with the surface of play thirty inches of the floor. A white line a eighth a quarter of inch is bottom longitudinally the center of the surface of play and divides the table into two parts. Since the line is only employed in the doubles, it is not obligatory chooses the play inside, but is certainly preferable.
The best table of tennis to be bought is one with three-quarter-inch, five-handle the top skilfully. A table with three thicknesses is cheaper but deadens the rebound of the ball so that a fast play is impossible. The table should be vigorous, of the standard size, and should have eight legs.
Surface should be soiled (not painted) a color green-dark, or other subdues, nonreflective. A painted surface will slow down to the top of the rebound of the ball and will be also erased on the ball and will fade it. The table can be of folding or the stationary type, according to if you have a permanent place in which to keep it.
LIGHTING
If you envisage a gaming room of table-tennis in your basement, you will need good overheads of lighting - at least four bulbs of 200 Watts; a space of minimum clearance of twenty-five feet by twelve; and enough of part between the floor and the ceiling so that you can follow through on your races without striking the racket the ceiling - approximately eight feet.
THE BALL
By buying balls of table-tennis, shown extreme attention that you obtain a round ball, neither too hard nor too gently. A round ball is necessary for a true rebound. It is difficult to order a ball which is too hard or too gently. To examine a ball for the round-off, turn it on a surface punt; if it wavers lightest little, throw it. Inspect the seam of the ball carefully, because if the seam is too hard the rebound will not be true. Grip the ball, initially side and then other, and choose one with roughly the same amount of give each side.
THE NET AND POSTS
Only one word is necessary about the net and of the posts. All the length of the net is of six feet (five feet for the width of table plus an additional prolongation of six-inch on each side). The posts are six and inches of three quarters top and the net is suspended by a cord functioning of a post to the others exactly six inches starting from the table runner. A good net, plus two posts, costs approximately three dollars.
THE RACKET
The piece of the most important equipment is, naturally, the racket. The rules of the alluvium of table tennis you to use a racket of any size, forms, and material which you wish, but, by the experiment, the expert players learned that from the three, four or skilfully five-handle the racket heavy from five to six ounces and cover of soft rubber and pebbled is most satisfactory by far. The rubber pips prolong the contact with the ball and allow the order and turn in the same way as a new tire with full treads out of rubber seizes the road better and gives to the driver more order of its car.
The rubber racket with the additional advantage not to betray the speed of the projectile by the noise. It strikes the ball with same speed as racket of wood but does not allow the adversary with the ‘ear of S to inform him severity, or lack of severity, projectile by the produced noise.
Once the equipment above was bought, you are ready to have pleasure to play one of the plays more satisfying and more provocants that you could wish.

Some Tips For Table Tennis
By John Simmons
Ping Pong is a simple and fun game that is not as demanding as other types of sports. You can play indoors, in all weather and with minimal space, equipment and training. You do not need to be incredibly fast, strong and able to operate for hours on end to do neither, you just need a decent amount of stamina, good reflexes, and the speed of mind. These factors add to the appeal of ping-pong, and is one reason why a large number of personal gyms in the houses either have a ping-pong or pool table (billiards sharing many of the same Factors that the ping-pong).
The first thing you need to know about the ping-pong is the equipment. A table tennis net, one ball and two paddles are just what you need. Period. For keeping score, a simple notebook and pen will do, unless you want to buy a scoreboard chalk or something. In addition to those basic necessities, there is nothing else for you to invest in a first time.
The second thing to consider is clothing - almost anything will do as long as you can move freely within it. Most people wear simple sneakers, shorts and a T-shirt. Jogging pants will too. Unlike other active sports like basketball and running, where shoes are designed for high-impact with fancy shoes and other characteristics, simply shoes that are comfortable. The same with short / jogging pants and tee-shirt. No materials needed, no anti-torn extent of wear ultra-mesh fibre super-high-tech stuff. Choose something from your closet and you’re done!
Now we are approaching the physical basis. As long as you refresh a little time to time and can walk up and down several flights of stairs without being reduced to a wheezing bag of fat, you’ll be fine. The average person can quickly obtain a ping-pong. The most important physical factors ping-pong reflexes are quick, agile wrists, and good balance. Of course, if you have two left feet is another story … Otherwise, if your account balance and reflexes are decent make.
The main reason for the need of reflexes is clear - the fundamental objective of ping-pong is a thwack a ball repeatedly between you and your opponent until one of you lack fumbles and swatting the ball . Poor reflexes means you probably miss a shot. The need for quick wrists is because a majority of the action to hit the ball ping-pong is controlled by a paddle angle - which is, of course, adjusted your wrist. Regarding the factor of balance, you’ll need to be moderately fast on your feet to jump from one side of table tennis to another. It does not really need all run, just some minor changes to your position and the evolution of body weight to make you lean more on one side or the other.
Apart from the physical conditions, there is a simple requirement mental ping-pong - be calm, and be a planner. Like any good game fencing, table tennis requires a quick mind to go with the speed of reflexes. It is not enough to be able to block every shot makes your opponent, you must be able to plan the angles send you the ball, and plan a step or two forward all the time to know where your opponent the return fire is underway head. The mental factor is actually the reason why some people with slower reflexes can win against players physically superior - they can send a ball in a certain angle, the strength of their opponent in a certain physical position, when the ball heads their way, return it at an angle that their opponent can not arrive in time because they are out of position to counter.
These are all you need to get started with ping-pong. Simple equipment, clothing simple, quick reflexes and decently and humorous. Everything else follows as you practice and get more experience. Over all, just relax and have fun!

You also need to take action on the rubber you need to use. Preferably, you want to get the best rubber. The main point of all this is the blade. Before buying the blade that you feel good, try to ask the test with a normal rubber. You will see that feels different and help you decide if the blade is a good or not.
